South Korea to withdraw some embassy staff from Ukraine amid North Korean POW dispute
South Korea announced on 20 October that it will pull part of its diplomatic staff out of its embassy in Ukraine, citing Kyiv's failure to address a dispute over the public disclosure of the transfer of two North Korean prisoners of war and the difficulty of keeping diplomats safe amid Russian airstrikes. A chargé d'affaires and all consular staff will remain in Kyiv, and Seoul continues to demand an official explanation and apology from Ukraine.
